MaxPac®8230XL1
 The MaxPac®8230XL1 – is the standard product of the XL family. The 8230 model designates the AMD Opteron 64 high efficiency family of multiprocessor components. The unit starts with a Tyan S2895 standard motherboard and up to four 64bit CPUs in the form of dual processor/dual core CPU chips. MaxVision uses the 275HE and above, high efficiency CPUs which allow four CPUs to operate at full performance with only a meager 110 watts of power. This is the foundation of wide temperature tolerance of the product. The XL1 designates the single screen 23” 1920 x 1200 resolution HD display.
For basic graphics performance, the MaxPac8230XL1 is equipped with the nVidia Quadro FX1400. For more demanding applications, the FX3450, FX4500 and FX5500 can be configured.
The fault tolerant RAID controller, supporting 8 drives in the HDPac8 removable magazine, is offered. The user has the choice of 2.4TB and 4TB HDPac8 magazines. This is the highest performance RAID system available using SATA hard disks and provides RAID5 write performance well above 300MB/Sec and read performance above 400MB/Sec.
The MaxPac8230XL1 serves as the perfect server or super workstation for massive imagery databases. Many customers use the MaxPac8230XL1 as a server to support clusters of MaxPac X Class and S Class multi-screen workstations.
