MaxPac^® XL Class

The MaxPac^® XL family of rugged portable/deployable workstations/servers was designed specifically for applications requiring the ultimate in multiprocessor CPU performance, high-performance mass storage, high-performance video processing power, large displays, and extensive option slots which can be integrated to a particular data capture and interface technology by the user or by MaxVision.

In the general terms, the MaxPac XL family or workstations/servers provide the following maximum capabilities:

• Four 64bit CPUs, providing the latest in multiprocessor technology
• Up to 12GB of ECC main memory organized as 8 memory modules
• A dedicated high-performance removable SATA system hard drive
• HDPac8 removable hard drive magazine supporting up to 8TB of RAID storage w/ expandability to 32TB externally utilizing TeraPac3
• Dual Double Layer DVD-R Burners each supporting up to 8.5GB of optical storage
• 6 full length option slots providing PCI, PCI-X and PCIe interfaces
• The latest in nVidia Quadro graphics
• Choice of single or dual 23” 1920 x 1200 LCD monitors
• Either 8 or 16 channel high-performance RAID controller supporting the HDPac8
• Two 1Gbit Ethernet ports
• 4 external USB 2.0 and 2 internal USB 2.0 connections
• Integrated audio and integrated speakers
• 650 watt high efficiency global power supply supporting 90 – 264VAC 50/60Hz
• Operation at full power from 0-50°C
• Box-in-Box Shock Isolation and vibration isolation system
• MaxVision’s Baghdad Lifetime Air Filtration system supporting the most demanding small particle dirt and dust environment.

Uses for the MaxPac XL family are divided into two large groups. The first of these is the general purpose use which includes military geospatial intelligence (exploitation of satellite and other imagery), command and control, and data acquisition.
