Your Mission. Your Requirements.
Our Engineering.

If It Doesn’t Exist, We Engineer It.

Off-the-shelf doesn’t cut it at the tactical edge.
At MaxVision®, we excel in engineering custom rugged portable computers – workstations, servers, and displays – tailored to your exact needs.  You bring the mission requirements. We bring 30+ years of trusted engineering.
Each product receives a unique design upon order, ensuring that every piece of equipment is perfectly suited for your specific mission. Our production process seamlessly incorporates engineering customized systems that reflect your unique specifications. We recognize that no two missions are alike, which is why every ruggedized workstation, server, computer and display we create is meticulously tailored to empower your success.

From Clean Sheet to Deployment

Most “custom” vendors let you pick from options in a dropdown. We don’t.

At MaxVision, custom means:

You define the envelope. Thermal, vibration, altitude, EMI, I/O, power, form factor. We engineer around it.
We design new electronics + packaging. Not just a new label on an existing chassis.
GOAT “Guts On A Table” validation.
We test it to your spec. In-house up to MIL-STD-810H, 461G, at our Madison, AL facility.

Our design projects encompass both ground-up systems tailored to your specifications and semi-customized solutions that integrate existing components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for your unique requirements.

Your Name, Our Know-How

We offer exclusive custom rugged portable computers design systems for private label OEMs that contract with us to produce well-built equipment released with their name.

Working Smart, Working Fast

Our process emphasizes transparency, accountability, and precision—allowing you to stay informed and involved at every milestone. From initial planning and design prototypes to manufacturing and deployment, we prioritize your feedback and strive to exceed expectations. By fostering a collaborative environment, we ensure that each phase of the project aligns perfectly with your vision, budget, and timeline.

Our goal is to deliver not just a product, but a trusted solution that empowers your team and enhances operational success. With our proven methodology and committed professionals guiding your project, you can move forward with confidence, knowing that every detail has been carefully managed to achieve outstanding results and long-term reliability.

Milestones For Success

  • Discuss the problem, certification requirements, quantity, and timeline during a conference call with our teams.
  • Create a comprehensive list of requirements
  • Online CAD review of preliminary design, followed by refinement
  • Determine the final scope of work
  • Deliver final fixed price and timeline
  • Work begins with agreement and purchase order
  • Periodic reports and reviews
  • Complete final critical design review before fabrication begins
  • As necessary, provide Guts On A Table (GOAT) of exact electronics for software debug and testing
  • Produce a limited run for final approval

Do you do one-off custom builds or only production runs?

Both. We’ve delivered single units for R&D and 100+ unit production runs for programs of record. Same engineering process either way.

What if we only have a concept and no formal spec?

Perfect. That’s where we start. We’ll help you translate operational needs into engineering requirements.

Can you match an existing form factor but upgrade the compute?

Yes. “Form, fit, function” upgrades are common for obsolescence management on long programs.

READY FOR A SYSTEM THAT DOESN’T EXIST YET?

If you can define the requirement, we can engineer the solution.
